Mount St. Joe wins it’s 15th consecutive MSA title and retains the Lehigh Cup (team with most points in tournament).
Scott Shaw of Mount St. Joseph is voted Outstanding Wrestler, and wins the Russell cup for earning the most team points in the tournament.
Mount St. Joe finishes the season ranked third in the State by the MSWA.
Gilman wins the regular season dual meet title.
Calvert Hall’s Jamie Miles is the school’s first two time champion.
Gene Curran of Archbishop Curley wins National Prep tournament at 135. In the senior All-Star classic he pinned the 3a/4a state champ Kevin Caudell, and the 1a/2a champ Blair Bittinger. He is named Baltimore Sun Wrestler of the Year. His final record is 80-4.
Scott Shaw of Mount St. Joe, a two time National Prep Champion, came close to winning his third, but in overtime lost on a referees criteria. He has set the career record in Maryland with wins at 136-10-1

Aberdeen wins its third consecutive championship and ends teh year Nationally ranked as No 24.
Chris Franklin of Aberdeen becomes first four time Harford County champion.
Robert Haugh of Hereford becomes first four time Baltimore County champion.
